Homemade Baby Food Recipes

It can be quick and easy to make healthy baby food for baby’s first year…I typically make baby food out of whatever I’m making for the rest of the family. From 4-6 months, I just cook up one extra vegetable from a dish I’m already making, puree it, and freeze it in 1-ounce portions for an easy introduction to single-ingredient foods. Later, I take portions of whole meals and puree them for more complex foods that include meat and legumes.

Stage 1:

Baby Avocado
Pureed Broccoli
Pureed Butternut Squash

Stage 2:

Apples & Wheatberries
Kale, Green Bean & Potato Puree
